Kaplan University
Kaplan University was originally established as the American Institute of Commerce in 1937. The name was later changed to Quest College and in November 2000 it was renamed Kaplan College after being taken over by Kaplan, Inc. It became Kaplan University in September 2004 when they were approved to provide graduate-level degree courses.

Loans and Grants
Kaplan University students are entitled to apply for the Title IV federal student loan programs. Federal loans are usually lower interest rate loans providing students a grace period during which payments are not due, as well as several repayment plans. Presently, the university offers Subsidized Stafford, Unsubsidized Stafford, and Parent Plus loans through the William D. Ford Direct Loan program with the U.S. Department of Education.
Students can also apply for a Direct Loan by filling out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and by electronically signing a Master Promissory Note (MPN).
