Many US employers are capitalizing on the various benefits of distance learning such as access to unlimited number of online courses, flexible study periods and cheaper tuition fees. These employers are now encouraging their staff through various support programs to upgrade themselves through distance learning programs. This will in turn benefit them when these workers implement what they have learnt within their organization. As a result, both sponsored and self-financing students can now gain upward mobility within their respective organizations.
