Hi I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask these questions or not but here goes. I am 39 and just now considering going back to school online. I want to get either an associates or bachelors in wildlife biology, conservation and or wildlife management. I have been looking for a week at online schools some sound fishy others offer programs but consider it a career diploma which I fear companys will not look at strongly even thou some are accredited because you don’t earn credits toward a degree. If anyone knows of schools that offer online degrees in these fields please help me out.
I am looking at Columbia College: Associate In Science In Environmental Studies Degree does anyone know anything about this school? I noticed it’s not on the list above and I am assuming that you people will know a lot more about this stuff then I.
Is there someone or agency that can be contacted to help decide what Associates is best to pursue that will be best suited when want to finish getting a bachelors in Wildlife management or biology.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Now I hope I can find this page again to view responses…lol not kidding!
Thx

What about the University of Phoenix? Is it an accredited online university?

I am in my late 50s, dropped out of college in my Junior year, went back and took some computer courses as needed and never returned. Part of the reason was I didn’t feel like paying over $300 a credit and re-taking courses like geography just because Burma had changed it’s name. Without a degree, I have worked in Computer Science for 30 years, have a patent in OO technology and a piece in the MIT museum of holography. I probably need about 23 credits to a BA degree… but again, all that life achievement seems today to be worth nothing. I remember Yale offering to accept my work and grant me credits for some of it. I would be happy with a liberal arts degree and surely that I have earned. Does anyone know of any online college that will accept my previous credits, recognize some major life work and not cost an arm and leg? Please let me know.
